Pandora's Jar: The Mixing Bowl of Hermes and the Gift of the Mind [The Image of God] - God's decree on Theodicy
The Earth serves as the Mixing Bowl; Humanity must seek Salvation through the acknowledgment of its Creator amid the chaos.
Greek Context:
Pandora's Jar signifies a divine gift; "Dora" means a gift bestowed by all gods as one entity. Hence, "Pandora" represents all gifts or the act of giving. These gifts encompass the material and sensory pleasures derived from the Earth.
Why settle for just one gift stolen from Zeus? If Prometheus has already granted you Fire [the life force], why not embrace all the gifts and mature with them? One should not be merely provided with the Life force; it is essential to grapple with the complete set of gifts [or plague] that come as a whole.
These gifts include sensations, passions, skills, cunning, fear, and persuasive words—“Pandora” as “All-Gift” symbolizes the collective contributions from those on Olympus, who bestowed upon humanity both gifts (or depending on context, afflictions). Those who consume Food (bread) and material goods must also bear the side effects that accompany these gifts [or evil / calamities].
"Eve or Epimethea" [meaning "afterthought" or unthinking curiosity] opens the metaphorical pot of our minds, filled with sensations and desires, yet devoid of comprehension regarding their purpose or utility. These gifts can wander aimlessly, leading to addiction and turning into insatiable beasts that seek constant nourishment and attention, ultimately enslaving the very beings they were meant to enrich. Consequently, the gifts of pleasure from the material world distance humanity from the Tree of Life [the divine stewardship of Earth], compelling them to engage with the "Tree of Dualistic Knowledge."
Nevertheless, the initial purpose of all these gifts lies within our minds, causing torment through unfulfilled expectations and hopes. Their true intent is to know God and to express gratitude for all the gifts received. This jar, or mixing bowl, is emblematic of The Mixing Bowl of Corpus Hermetica.
Context from the Corpus Hermetica - The Mixing Bowl.
God placed humankind in the world, an adornment of the divine form, merging mortal existence with immortal life [The Image]. Humanity observed the works of God, becoming aware of their Creator, those endowed with the Mind.
God granted humanity Reason, yet only a few manage to retain true Mind—not out of resentment, but because envy emerges from below in the mixing bowl, stemming from misguided actions and pursuits.
Thus, two classes of people arise—not due to any divine resentment, as God is Just.
He filled a great mixing bowl with MIND, making this proclamation: "If your heart is strong enough and believes in the possibility of rising back to the one who sent this mixing bowl, immerse yourself in it. Acknowledge the purpose of your existence," which is to remember and recognize the origin of the Mind [the hopes and expectations tied to Pandora] from the MIX.
Those who understood and engaged with this MIND became perfect beings, bearing the Image of God [the Original Expectations of Pandora or "Image of God"]. They comprehended the whole through this Mind and attained immortality.
Conversely, those unaware of their purpose or the agents behind their existence become enslaved to sensations and passions, suffering eternally.
Context from the Quran:
Humanity, as a chosen Steward of God on Earth, must discern between the Signal and the Noise to attain Salvation.
Surah Al-Kahf 18:29: "And say, 'The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills – let him believe; and whoever wills – let him disbelieve.'"
Surah Ash-Shams 91:7-10: "And by the soul and He who proportioned it. And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness. He has succeeded who purifies it, and he has failed who instills it [with corruption]."
Surah Al-Alaq 96:1-5: "Recite in the name of your Lord who created – Created man from a clinging substance. Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous—Who taught by the pen—Taught man that which he knew not [The Image of God]."
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:31: "And He taught Adam the names – all of them [Name = The Essential Discernable Attributes of Things]. Then He showed them to the angels and said, 'Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful [Those Who Can Remember Faithfully and Recognize].'"
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:117: "The Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is." [From Corpus Hermeticum, The Mixing Bowl: "Since the craftsman made the entire cosmos through reasoned speech rather than by hand, conceive of him as ever-present, as the sole creator, who shaped all things according to his will."]

The word for a cooking pot (Qidr) is also from this root, as it signifies something that holds a measured amount. Qadr, Measuring/Calculating, Determination, Estimation, Decreeing, Predestination, Fate, Precalculated Final Executive Order.
"Pandora arises from the earth; she embodies the Earth, the giver of all gifts.
‘To Pandora, the earth, because she delivers all that is necessary for life.’
Prometheus shapes a clay statue of Minerva, the goddess of wisdom to whom he is devoted, infusing it with life from a 'stolen sunbeam.' This prompts a debate among the gods about the legitimacy of creations beyond their own, ultimately earning him the right to wed his creation."
